• It is an economic alkyd based primer suitable for mild steel surface.
• Red Oxide Primer is an oil modified alkyd based primer suitably pigmented with micro fine red oxide and extenders. It is ideal for ferrous metal surfaces. It is free from heavy metals like lead, mercury and chromium.

Direction For Use:

• Ensure that the surface is free from dust, dirt, loose particles and moisture. One or two coats of primer can be used, depending on requirement. For best results, it is advisable to give 8-10 hrs. drying time before application of subsequent coats. Do not over-thin. Stir well before use. Surface preparation and painting procedure: Remove grease, oil and other contaminants preferably by using Bison Degreasing Solvent. Blast clean to a minimum of Std. 21/2 Swedish standard RS 05 5900 with a surface profile not exceeding 35-40 microns. If blasting is not practical, make full use of mechanical tools along with manual chipping and wire brushing to remove loose rust and scale to Std. 2 Swedish Standard SIS 05 5900. Excessive burnishing of steel is to be avoided.

Theoretical Spreading Capacity:

Drying Time (20 Degree C-30 Degree C and 60+/-5 RH):

• SD:Less than 1 hr (at 15-25 u DFT) HD: Less than 24 hrs (at 18-25 u DFT)

Re Coating Period:

• 8-10 hrs (Depending Upon Temperature and Humidity)

Storage:

• Store cool and dry place, keep away from source of ignition. Keep container tightly closed, out of reach of children and away from food products.

Disposal:

• Do not pour left over paint down the drain or any water course. Dispose in accordance with local regulations

Safety Precaution:

• Ensure good ventilation during application and drying of paint. Wear protective clothes and gloves. Smoking is prohibited while painting. A suitable dust nose pad should be worn when rubbing the surface. Avoid inhaling the vapour. Wear eye protector during application. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water.

Points to Note:

• Shake well before use and do not over dilute
• Strain the material through a fine sieve before use
• Keep the container rightly closed to prevent drying
• Please keep out of reach of children and away from foodstuff
• In case of contact with eyes, wash immediately with water and seek medical advice

Special Note:
Before painting the following things should be checked thoroughly:

• Moisture content of the wall (Ideal condition -below 12%)
• pH value of the wall surface (Ideal condition -between 7-11)

If these are violated, owner will be responsible.
